The Trelusback site contains large numbers of dragonflies and damselflies together with other pond and stream species. These have been recorded at Trelusback for many years and verified by the former County Dragonfly Recorder Dave Cooper who is now retired. The Trelusback Wildlife Site's Management Plan therefore takes the needs of dragonflies into consideration. The stream, ponds and ditches are maintained to provide suitable habitat for dragonflies and damselflies.
